As a conservative, I believe...

The traditional family is the fundamental unit of our society. Supporting family-oriented legislation continues to be my highest priority in the legislature.
Unborn children deserve our protection.
Senior citizens deserve our respect and care.
Immigrants are welcome here. Legally, please.
Personal initiative is better than government programs.
We should always look to the United States Constitution as the foundation and framework of our government. It is both an inspired and an inspiring document.
Government must be required to exercise fiscal responsibility. Lawmakers and government employees must remember that taxpayers are not a bottomless money pit.
Government should provide only those services that cannot be provided by individuals or private organizations.
Free enterprise is a far more effective tool than legislated quotas.
We need less government. The government that governs least, governs best.
We must ensure a high-quality, traditional education for our children.
